I'll dominate 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Ex two-time unified boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making huge earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As both boxers participated in the customary face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually going ahead.
