The Animated Series' Showrunner Has Seen Your Season 2 Bingo Cards — And She Has Good News

The highly-awaited second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel debuts on Prime Video soon, and fan speculation has been widespread.

The first season introduces a diverse group of characters living within Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds with songs about their clashes, and builds heated competitions and emotional bonds that fuel audience devotion.

The community's expectations for season 2 vary widely, but certain themes recur frequently: Will Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with fan service specifically in mind," the showrunner stated recently. "But I feel like me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by the production companies, which finance the series.

That might mean viewers have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how fast season 2 progresses, and how much of what they're waiting for happens this season.

"I feel like people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some incredible disclosures, some really cool origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — especially in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a few fans create a bingo card about the new season," she mentions. "Obviously I won't share it, but I've already completed a few items, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
